How to

  • Take half of a lemon and spread 1 teaspoon of good quality honey on it. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of baking soda on the top of honey.
  • Rub the piece of lemon with honey and baking soda on your face, especially on the areas with blackheads. Soak a towel in warm water and place it on your face.
  • After 10-15 minutes gently wipe off the residue of honey and baking soda mixture from your face.
  • Rinse your face with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat this twice or thrice a week.


EGG WHITE MASK

This mask is an easy one that can be quickly made at home. Egg white mask is rich in nutrients that are beneficial for your skin and effectively tightens and cleans open clogged pores, remove blackheads and prevents acne breakouts.

How to

  • Wash your face and pat dry.
  • Separate egg white from the yolk and apply a thick layer of egg white on your blackhead prone skin.
  • Place a strip of tissue over the layer and gently press on your skin.
  • Let the layer dry.
  • Carefully and similarly apply a second and third layer of egg white over the tissue and let it dry.
  • When the mask is totally dry, it is normal if your skin feels tight or hard.
  • Gently peel the tissue layers. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and wash off the residue.
  • Pat dry your face and moisturize. You can use Olive or Jojoba Oil as moisturizers.

 

CINNAMON & HONEY MASKS

But this combination works wonder in removing stubborn blackheads. As mentioned earlier honey works as a great moisturizer to your skin and has antibacterial properties. Alongside, cinnamon improves blood circulation and makes your skin smoother and glowing.


How to

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 1 teaspoon of honey. Blend them well and make a even paste.
  • Apply a thin layer of the paste on your problem areas.
  • Place a clean cotton strip over the layer and gently press it.
  • Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Remove the cotton strip and wash your face with lukewarm water.
  • Pat dry your face and moisturize. You can use Olive or Jojoba Oil as moisturizers.
  • Repeat this on alternate days for better results.

 

OATMEAL, LEMON & TOMATO SCRUB

This nutrient rich high fibre meal in your breakfast is helpful for both your health and skin. It is a gentle cleanser and great exfoliator too. Oatmeal scrub is safe and effective for almost all skin conditions, be it sensitive, irritated or dry. Its anti-inflammatory and antioxidants properties soothe skin irritation, removes dead cells and wash off excess oil from the pores of your skin. Acid properties in tomatoes removes excess oil and its vitamin richness is great for your skin.

How to

Mix 2 tablespoon of ground oatmeal, 1-2 tea spoon of lemon juice and 1½ teaspoon of tomato juice. Make a thick paste.

Scrub it on your face, mainly on blackhead affected areas.

Leave it until it dries up completely.

Wash your face with lukewarm water and apply moisturizer immediately.

 

SUGAR SCRUB

Cutting don sugar from your diet is helpful indeed for your health. Here’s an idea. Let’s use sugar for skin’ wellness too. What about making a sugar scrub instead of adding it to your morning coffee? You’ll love it, trust me!

Sugar mixed with any carrier oil works wonder as an effective exfoliator, clearing clogged pores and removing those blackheads on your face. This scrub also improves circulation and thus gives you a soft and glowing skin.

You can use any carrier of your choice to make this scrub –Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil or Olive Oil.


How to

  • Mix 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of carrier oil.Still well to make an even mixture.
  • Rinse your face and massage the scrub on your wet face in circular motion for 8-10 minutes.
  • Rinse your face with lukewarm water and apply Jojoba Oil as moisturizer. You can also use other carrier oils for the purpose.
  • Repeat this twice or thrice a week. Do moisturize your skin every time after scrubbing to prevent skin dryness and irritation.
